I have granola on the brain since the batch I just made is just about gone. Here's the recipe I use.
6 c oats (You could also reduce this slightly and add some wheat germ)
1/4 - 1/2 c brown sugar
3/4 t cinnamon
1/2 t salt
3/4 c honey - warmed to liquid
3/4 c oil (I have also used applesauce, although I would suggest not eliminating all the oil or it just doesn't turn out right)
mix first 4 ingredients
combine honey and oil and pour into dry ingredients
stir
bake 325 for 15-25 minutes - let it stand in the oven until cooled (I usually just leave it overnight). Sometimes it takes a bit to get it out of the pan, but it's worth it. Yum.
Don't forget to add any extras you like - nuts, dried fruit, coconut, chocolate chips...
